2,600m² new building adjacent existing listed Congress Theatre in Eastbourne on England's south coast. The Gallery provides a new home for the nationally acclaimed Towner Art collection as well as providing temporary exhibition space for touring international exhibitions, art storage, conference exhibition space, community activity rooms, gallery & retail facilities and a café. The building also functions as an extension to existing Devonshire Park conference, exhibition and lawn tennis facilities. Construction of exposed concrete finishes with a solid black zinc-clad volume defining vertically stacked art spaces . White insulated render is used to the rest of the building defining community spaces & meeting rooms.
